Sudoku: fantastic for some, frustrating for others. In classic Sudoku, the objective is to fill a 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, row, and each of the nine 3×3 sub-grids that compose the grid contain all of the digits from 1 to 9.

The game first appeared in Japan in 1984. The word ‘Sudoku’ is short for a longer expression in Japanese (‘Sūji wa dokushin ni kagiru’) which means, "the digits are limited to one occurrence".
Playing Sudoku has many benefits, including helping to reduce anxiety and improving memory. It’s also shown to help children develop their problem-solving skills. There are loads of free Sudoku apps out there, so maybe now is the time to give it a whirl.
